ULEC Library

The Ukrainian Language Education Centre maintains a resource library intended for use by teachers and students in Ukrainian language programs.

Ukrainian Books & Periodicals

The ULEC Library features:
  • over 7000 print titles including
    • pedagogical titles to assist development of language instruction
    • books on a variety of thematic and cultural content of interest to teachers
    • new student resources from Ukraine, including reference books and readers
  • peridocials from Ukraine
  • reference library including local histories of Alberta communities

Ukrainian Videos & Multimedia

  • large video collection including VHS and DVD titles
  • an AV archive including 16mm film, slides, filmstrips, and audiotapes

The ULEC Library is closed on weekends and holidays.

Pick-ups and drop-offs may be arranged outside normal operating hours by appointment.

Become a Member

Library membership is available to teachers, students, and the general public. Membership is free and gives lending privledges to our unique collection of Ukrainian-language materials.

Becoming a member is as simple as coming down to our library and filling out a form, or request the application form online and begin the sign up process today!
