Derek Truscott, Ph.D.

I obtained registration as a psychologist in 1987, earned my doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Windsor in 1989, and have been on the faculty at the University of Alberta since 1997. I have practiced in hospital, community, group home, rehabilitation, and private settings.

I can’t imagine a better career than psychology—it is always interesting, often satisfying, and ultimately deeply rewarding. I take particular pride in aspiring to be a good therapist and striving to inspire others to do likewise.

The handouts from my October 27, 2018 presentation at the 11th International Congress on Clinical Psychology in Granda, Spain are available by clicking here.

The Session Rating Scale (SRS) and Outcome Rating Scale (ORS) are available for free by clicking here.

A Spanish translation of the SRS and ORS has been developed by Dr. Danilo Moggia at the Universitat de Barcelona, who can be reached here.
