Past and present Chancellors of the University of Alberta
In accordance with the Universities Act, Chancellors are elected by Senate, following
a search made by a committee comprising three members each of Senate, Alumni Association
and General Faculties Council, together with a representative from the Graduate Students'
Association and the Students' Union. Chancellors currently serve a four year non-renewable term.
