As a computer vision and imaging scientist, I study and discover underlying principles of visual information processing and understanding problems, and create novel solutions that satisfy not only the left-hand side of the following inequalities but more importantly the other side as well:

Gallery

Other than research, I love to create something artistic in my spare time. I have been learning and studying traditional Chinese painting, charcoal drawing, and watercolor painting since I was four. During fall 2008, I started to learn 3ds Max. The following three images show a model that I created using 3ds Max based on the Alpha fighter that appeared in the animation TV series "Robotech: The New Generation" and also in a 2007 movie "Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles".


The following are two drawings using the style that I am currently exploring. This drawing style came into my mind in late 2009, partially inspired by the ancient cave paintings. After some experiments on this new style, here comes the Immortal series.
