  • Every participant in the conference must pay a registration fee for the conference.
  • A student registration must be supported by a valid student ID.
  • A member registration must be supported by a valid IEEE membership number.
  • Registration payment can be made in Renminbi, with a conversion rate of approximately one (1) US dollar to 6.6 Chinese Yuan including overhead cost. See the registration form for specific amounts.

Registration Policies

  • At least one author must pre-register before the early registration deadline of October 15, 2012, and commit to attending the conference and presenting the paper.
  • A registration (regular or student, member or non-member) allows one paper to be included in the proceedings.
  • Each paper can be up to six pages in length. The cost of each extra page is $100.
  • People without a paper who are interested in attending the conference must register at the same rate as authors shown above, in order to access the conference technical and social programs.
  • Should one not be able to attend the conference for some unexpected reasons, there is no refund of registration fee after November 18, 2012.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

Q: If I have two accepted papers, do I need to pay two registrations? Is there a discount for the second paper?
Yes, you will need to pay one registration for each paper or two registrations for two papers, and there is no discount.
Q: Can I get the receipt (发票) for my registration before the conference?
No. Receipt for your registration will be handed out in Guangzhou during the conference, which at least one author of an accepted paper is required to attend. If you are not able to attend the conference for any reason, the receipt will be mailed to you after the conference.
Q: Can I change the title or authors of my paper?
Yes, you will have an opportunity to make the change when you submit the final materials. Please make sure that the author list and the title in the PDF paper are consistent with those in the submitted data via our system.
Q: Can you arrange to give me more attempts on PDF eXpress as I have run out of my quota?
You will have to email PDF eXpress directly as ROBIO 2012 does not operate PDF Xpress.
Q: Will my paper be EI-indexed?
All past ROBIO papers have been EI-indexed. All accepted papers in ROBIO 2012 proceedings will be published in IEEE Xplore and submitted to EI for indexing immediately after the conference. We fully expect all ROBIO 2012 papers to be EI-indexed.
Q: Do I need to include a keyword list in the final submission?
No, it is not necessary.
Q: What is included in a registration?
A registration allows you to attend all the technical sessions and social events. In addition, you will receive the Conference Digest, the CD-ROM Proceedings, and a conference bag. Social events include three lunches and two dinners of the conference.
