How To Apply • Completed application form • A statement of purpose in English including a project proposal* (400 words maximum) • Two letters of reference from your employer, professor, and/or supervisor (At least one must be provided by a person outside of the Japanese program) • up-to-date transcript (first-year students should include their high school transcript) Deadline for applications is Friday, February 15, 2008. Announcements of acceptance will be made by February 29, 2008. Applications should be sent to: Prince Takamado Japan Centre for Teaching and Research 400 Arts Building University of Alberta Edmonton, AB T6G 2E6 Payment to the Prince Takamado Japan Centre in the amount of $1,900.00 will be due Friday, March 21, 2008. * Provide an outline of a project that you may want to pursue during your stay in Kyoto.
