I did not have the privilege of being one of Rosemarie's students, but I had the honor of being her colleague. When I began at MLS, Rosemarie was supportive and helpful from the beginning. As time went on, I saw her dedication to the students, and to excellence. I watched her agonize over struggling students, and continuously upgrade material to make it more relevant. She constantly looked for ways and means to provide better ways of educating.
She is a good friend as well. She shared her laughter freely. As I had children, her interest in them and their latest antics warmed my heart. She taught me to appreciate my kids as precious persons, as gifts to be cherished. She is warm, compassionate, and strong. She is also willing to dive in and paint her hair red on Valentine's Day when we couldn't stand February any more.
I am honored to know her, and I am a better person because of her. I wish her many happy memories to come, and my love.
