PHILOSOPHY 368: EQUALITY AND SOCIAL JUSTICE

B1 Second Term TR 09:30-10:50 D. Kahane
This course considers how different philosophical approaches to justice, including liberal and radical theories, deal with connections between identity, membership, and equality. We'll consider the general shape of these theories, as well as studying tensions between them when it comes to contemporary issues of gender, race, sexuality, and social justice. You should come to the course with a strong commitment to developing your skills in critical reading and writing, and willingness to participate in group discussions.
