Information below provides the core expenses in publishing: paper/printing: Two types of paper stock were quoted: the first is more basic paper, while the second provides a better finish and has a partial recyclable composition (it also costs a little more). This budget does not include other Aexpenses@ (distribution, staff work and any new software that might be purchased). However, these other costs would likely still be used whether the proposal was passed or NASA just continued publishing the current newsletter. The Editorial Board, as a volunteer body that helps in the publication, would not be an expense (aside from any honoraria they might choose to accept).

The Editorial Board would also be the logical group to decide the number of pages and frequency but it seems that 16 pages and 6 times a year would be a good cap/estimate to use. Certainly fewer pages or fewer issues would just mean we wouldn=t see as much spent. Endorsing a budget line of $16,000 would provide them a sufficient cushion.
