Contract Table of Contents

PREAMBLE

WHEREAS, the Public Service Employee Relations Act, (hereinafter called "the Act") applies to the University of Alberta, and the support staff of the University of Alberta;

 AND WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the said Act, the Public Service Employee Relations Board has certified the University of Alberta Non-Academic Staff Association, Edmonton, Alberta, as bargaining agent for a unit of employees of the Board of Governors, the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, comprising: "All employees of the Board of Governors, the University of Alberta, when employed in general support services," issued under certificate No. 10-78 at Edmonton, Alberta on the 26th day of September A.D., l978;

AND WHEREAS, the terms and conditions of employment of said employees have been the subject of negotiations between the parties; AND WHEREAS, the parties desire that these matters be set forth in an agreement; NOW THEREFORE, THIS AGREEMENT WITNESSETH that in consideration of the premises, the parties hereto mutually covenant and agree with each other as follows:
