ARTICLE 10
SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL

10.01 Employees shall be paid a shift differential for all hours worked on the afternoon or evening shift of $1.00 per hour.

10.02 Shift differential shall apply only to those employees who work a scheduled shift at least sixty percent (60%) of which falls between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

10.03 Afternoon shift shall be any seven (7), seven and one-half (7½), or eight (8) hours between 3:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Evening shift shall be any seven (7), seven and one-half (7½) or eight (8) hours between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

10.04 The letter of intent provided to NASA by the Board, dated December 22, l978, shall form a part of this Agreement (see Appendix J).

10.05 Effective April 1, 1992, new-hired temporary employees shall not receive shift differential.
