Letter of Agreement between 1. This Letter of Agreement shall form part of the new collective agreement between the University and NASA that is effective April 1, 1997. 2. The parties agree that reaching conclusion of negotiations (i.e., negotiation settlement or the commencement of the interest arbitration process) does not preclude the parties from subsequently agreeing to include, as part of that collective agreement, the terms and conditions of employment to be negotiated for general trust support employees; however, this determination has yet to be agreed to by the parties. 3. The parties agree that should negotiation settlement be reached, both parties shall seek to immediately obtain ratification by their principals. 4. The parties agree that general trust support employee negotiations (i.e., face-to-face negotiations) shall commence within thirty (30) days of conclusion. 5. This Letter of Agreement does not negate any provisions/clauses contained in the October 17, 1997, Memorandum of Agreement on general trust support employees.
