Walker, Manager Non-Academic Staff Association Room 102, Concord Tower 11147 - 82 Ave Edmonton, Alberta T6G 0T5Dear Mr. Walker: RE: Shift Differential On behalf of the Board of Governors, attached please find a list of employees affected by the special shift differential clause in effect prior to April 1, 1972. Carpenters, painters, plasterers, millwrights, electricians and brick-layers appointed prior to April 1, 1972 receive 15% for both afternoon and evening shifts. Plumbers and steam fitters, including controls, afternoon shifts receive 20%, midnight shift 25%. Refrigeration and air conditioning receive 12 1/2%. It is understood that the Board of Governors of the University of Alberta undertakes to continue to apply shift differential to these employees, and that as a result of this undertaking, it is hereby agreed that the shift differential clause will be struck from the Board/N.A.S.A.
