INTRODUCTION:

Thank you for agreeing to participate in the survey from the PCERII Graduate Student Involvement Studurveytudy. which This research is being conducted by the Prairie Centre of Excellence for Research on Immigration and Integration (PCERII) as. This study is part of a larger national study being carried out byof the Metropolis Project. and itIt aims to evaluate the experiences of graduate students involved in the Metropolis Projectwith the Centre either at the Administrative Centre of PCERII located at the University of Alberta, or at one of the five other nodes, located at the University of Calgary, University of Regina, University of Saskatoon, University of Winnipeg, and University of Manitoba. at various times and in various capacities during the last five years of the Project’s existence. The PCERII research team consists of the following graduate students: Navjot Lamba, PhD candidate, Sociology; Katerina Maximova, MA student, Demography; Marlene Mulder, MA student, Sociology; Irene Shankar, MA student, Sociology.

We appreciate your taking time to answer this survey questionnaire. The information you provide will contribute to form an important database that will beis essential for presenting "hard facts" to the Metropolis Project officials as well as for making future planning decisionsdesigned to inform planning regarding student involvement in the Metropolis Project. Your name and contact information will be removed from this questionnaire at the data entry phase of the project. Once collected,AAll of your answers responses will be treated askept strictly confidential and will not be connected with a specific researcher or research project. The goal of this research is not to evaluate the work of individual researchers or students, but to facilitate planning of programming that involves student participation. The information collected will serve to inform the directors of Metropolis on how to better integrate graduate students into the Metropolis project and further enrich graduate careers by developing strategies to aid students in achieving their goals. or to a specific research project. This survey is meant to evaluate your experience with Metropolis rather than the work of individual researchers.. Thank you for being an important part of this research project.
