CURRENT RESEARCH TEAM
Morris Flynn (PI) holds
a Ph.D. from UC San Diego and has been an academic staff
member at U. Alberta since 2008. Outside of the lab, Morris
enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with his family.
Saeed Sheikhi has a keen interest in porous media buoyancy-driven flows and their applications in geological settings, e.g. underground hydrogen storage and carbon sequestration. He holds a B.Sc. in mechanical engineering from Isfahan University of Technology and an M.Sc. in mechanical engineering from Sharif University, both in Iran. He enjoys spending his spare time swimming and camping.
Raihanul Kabir is an M.Sc. student at the University of Alberta. He is interested in condensation phenomena in heat pipes and the effect of surface chemistry on heat pipe performance of heat pipes. He holds an undergrad degree in industrial and production engineering from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology and is on the cusp of defending his M.Sc. thesis. Photography, videography and graphics designing are some of his hobbies.
Amir Shojaee holds an M.Sc. in mechanical engineering from the University of Alberta and is passionate about research in fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, design, and manufacturing. Outside the workplace, he finds joy in camping and swimming, embracing the serenity of nature alongside his career pursuits.
Omid Jadidi is interested in tackling fluid mechanics challenges, employing both analytical and numerical methods. Armed with a B.Sc. in mechanical engineering from the University of Tehran, he is now delving into an M.Sc. at the University of Alberta, focusing on the same field. Beyond academia, Omid enjoys soccer matches and cinematic adventures.
