Hi! My name is Matthew Thomson, and I'm an undergraduate student in engineering physics, soon to be in my fourth year. I am the avionics team lead for the Student Team for Alberta Rocketry Research (STARR). I am also helping the CMD-SAT subteam of AlbertaSat with their experiment for CAN-RGX, a reduced gravity design challenge. Currently, I'm a research assistant working under Dr. Roger Moore. I'm using Geant4 and an array of other software and models to simulate high-energy particle showers and their resulting Cherenkov radiation patterns. My work will be relevant for both the Icecube and P-ONE neutrino experiments.
