We are interested in separation of oligomers associated with neurodegenerative diseases. These oligomers are difficult to separate and therefore we are using Asymmetric flow- field flow fractionation (AF4). It has been demonstrated that field flow fractionation successfully in separation of prion particles.

Advantages of our AFFFF system:
broad range of sample material, broad size range, no shear forces, no influence of adsorption effects, easy adjustment of separation conditions to specific problems and separation by hydrodynamic size of the sample.
