Canada Day, July 1st

This summer a few of my friends and myself headed off to the Legislature grounds to celebrate Canada's 134th birthday. We were treated to a concert with Wide Mouth Mason and Colin James and, later that night, to a fireworks display. It was great to see so many people showing off their Canadian pride...Canada flags waving everywhere and some girls even made skirts from flags. So anyone who thinks we're not as patriotic as the Americans is completely wrong!

Nelly and Maciek. Notice Maciek's wonderful "I am Canadian" bandana! Oh, and even though I don't drink beer I like the new Canadian beer commercial. If you haven't seen them go to adcritic and take a look.

This is the first time I tried to take pictures of fireworks. Anyone have any tips? Next year I plan to bring an extra roll of film just for the fireworks display...that way I should still have some shots left for the really big fireworks at the end of the display!
