• Octavianus Wiliantoro. A fourth-year undergraduate student majoring in Petroleum Engineering at the University of Alberta. His research topic is focused on production decline analysis and uncertainty quantification of unconventional oil and gas resources with time series analysis (Co-supervised with Dr. Niu). He has been able to write an academic paper as a result of his research outcomes (Submitted to Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering).

• Hanru Yu. A third-year undergraduate student from Zhejiang University, China. Her major is Energy and Environmental System Engineering. She came to the University of Alberta for a summer internship during the summer of 2014. Her research focused on phase behavior modeling of reservoir fluids at high temperatures with Peng-Robinson equation of state.

• Dinah Abban-Ampiah. Dinah's research topic is focused on developing universal MMP correlations for gas injection projects. She has drafted a research paper as a result of her research results. Dinah is now with Trilogy Energy Corp.

• Mohsin Arshad (Co-supervised with Dr. Babadagli). Mohsin Arshad is an MEng student in Petroleum Engineering at the University of Alberta. He earned Bachelor of Engineering degree in Petroleum from NED University of Engineering and Technology. His research paper under the title of “Efficient Application of Rotary Steerable System (RSS) and Positive Displacement Motor (PDM) to Yield Optimal Performance” was published in SPE Sub-Regional paper contest (Middle East Region). Research Interests: In-Situ Recovery of Alberta Oil Sands. 

• Priya Karanth. Priya's research is towards the development of robust PR EOS models for simulating the phase behaviour of solvent/water/bitumen systems.

• Vinit Menon. Vinit's research is devoted to developing robust and efficient optimization algorithm for sovlent-assisted SAGD process.

• Marsha Cooke. Marsha's project report conducts a critical review on the application of the 4D seismic survey in petroleum engineering. Marsha is now with Weatherford. 

• Jamal Farooqui (Co-supervised with Dr. Babadagli). An MENG student in Petroleum Engineering at the University of Alberta. His research is focused on heavy oil and extra heavy oil recovery, with equal emphasis on optimization of current and future thermal recovery methods. His research interests include enhanced oil/heavy-oil recovery mechanisms and optimization of these based on laboratory experiments and numerical simulations.

• Minke Wang. Minke's research is focused on deriving interwell conectivity models based on historic production data.
