Short Bio of Dr. Huazhou Andy Li

Since 2013, Dr. Andy Li has served as an assistant professor in Petroleum Engineering in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, School of Mining and Petroleum Engineering, at the University of Alberta

He graduated with a PhD degree in Petroleum Systems Engineering from University of Regina in 2013. His major expertise lies in the field of enhanced oil recovery, more specifically, including CO2 enhanced oil recovery, thermal and non-thermal heavy oil recovery methods, and phase behaviour of reservoir fluids (e.g., steam-solvent-heavy oil systems). 

He serves as the Associate Editor for the Journal of Natural Gas Science and Engineering (JNGSE) which is published by Elsevier with an impact factor of 2.157. He also reviews manuscripts submitted to the following academic journals: SPE Journal, Energy & Fuels, Fuel, Fluid Phase Equilibria, Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering, Journal of Unconventional Oil and Gas Resources, and International Journal of Oil, Gas and Coal Technology, etc. In addition, he currently serves as the Vice President of Association of Chinese Canadian Professors in charge of internal affairs.

Andy is now a professional member of the APEGA. He is also a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
