Heather Simeney MacLeod is a member of the Metis Nation and has published poems, short fiction, essays, and prose criticism. Her interdisciplinary practice encompasses creative writing, archival and popular culture research, and visual art. Heather completed her Ph. D. in English and Film Studies from the University of Alberta in the autumn of 2014, she has a Masters in Social Sciences from the University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria. Heather lives in Edmonton and works as a Sessional Instructor at MacEwan, King's, and Concordia universities.
