Automatic in-flight sand hopper

The photograph shows a computer controlled in-flight sand hopper developed by Delft University. It is possible to pluviate sand layer by layer or at one particular location. The device are controlled by a PC compatible single board computer which is located in the spinning part of the centrifuge.
