3.4.3 Electro-magnetic shaking system

The electromagnetic system consists of a pair of magnetic coils which are setting with small gap. The system is easily controlled motion with wide range of frequency. Photo 1 and Figure 1 shows the system at Chuo University in Japan, whose major capacities are the maximum frequency of 50 - 300 Hz, the maximum pay load of 200 kg and the maximum displacement of 0.5 mm. Similar system is also employed in Shimizu Centrifuge. The major features of the system at Shimizu centrifuge are 10 G in acceleration and 50 -300 Hz in frequency.
