Hey this is Greg, I'm the one who's organizing Film Zone's trip to
the Banff Mountain Film Festival. The following are the details for those who didn't make
the Wed. meeting:
Per person cost: $120.00 (FZ members only)
(incl. accomodations, travel, festival tickets)
Deposit required: $60.00 by Wed., October 18 before 4PM
Payment in full due by Fri., October 27
We'll be leaving Edmonton on Friday Nov.3 either late afternoon or early evening,
depending on how late people get off work/school. Accomodation will be at the Travellers
Inn in Banff (4 people/room) for Fri and Sat nites. Arriving in Banff late Friday I guess
we could just hang out around town. Saturday we'll be watching the Daytime Film Screenings
pretty much all day. And we'll try to meet/stalk some of the filmmakers too. As for
Saturday evening.. I know a couple good bars in Banff. Sunday we'll be touring a little of
the national park then head back to Edmonton for an ETA of about 7PM.
We can take 4, 8 or 12 people to minimize transportation and accomodation costs.
Alternatively, we could stay in Calgary Saturday night and hit the nite scene there. Costs
will be maybe $10 more overall and we'd be staying in the Best Western Downtown Suites in
Cowtown. What do u all think?
Any additional events you may want to see at the Festival will be at an extra cost to you
individually. Visit http://www.banffcentre.ab.ca/cmc/tickets2000/itmidx1.htm
for details.
Email or phone me to set up a deposit drop-off time or drop by during our office hours to
make your $60 deposit by the 18th.
Oh, does anyone have a car they can drive to Calgary? You'll be compensated for gas.
