My research and teaching activities have focused in three areas: process modelling and identification, process control, and engineering optimization. Particular areas of interest over the past few years have included: operations optimization, stochastic and dynamic optimization, vector or multi-criteria optimization, application of post-optimality and sensitivity analysis to decision-making, model-based control of distributed paramter systems, distribution shaping control, and structured approaches to automation system benefits analysis.
