Based in Toronto (Markham), the Canadian division of Huawei’s Shannon Cognitive Computing Lab is responsible for developing key technologies in artificial intelligence and cognitive computing. Through internal collaboration with Shannon Cognitive Computing Labs in the US, Russia, Israel, and China, and external collaboration with leading research institutions in Canada and the US, we innovate at the leading-edge of machine learning, computer vision, and robotics to support the company's continued business success.

Job Description & Qualification Requirements

Job Description:

1. Design and develop cognitive computing system and applications;
2. Optimize system performance base on application settings and promote updated functions to go online.

Qualification Requirements:

1. Imaginative individuals with creative thinking who are highly motivated by the R&D work at the leading edge of artificial intelligence;
2. Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and demonstrated ability to design and implement machine learning algorithms;
3. Knowledge of large-scale distributed computing system and demonstrated ability to design and implement large-scale distributed computing system;
4. Proficiency in Linux and strong programming skills with two or more relevant programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Java, Shell, Python, Matlab etc.);
