This is the webpage for the Human Neurophysiology Laboratory in the Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation at the University of Alberta.

The laboratory focuses on understanding how the nervous system controls human movement. We are interested in how feedback from sensory receptors located in muscle, joints and the skin contribute to the control of movements of the arms and legs. We also study how to use electrical stimulation to generate contractions of human muscle.

The goal of the work is to lead to a better understanding of how signals from sensory receptors and the brain are involved in the neural control of human movement and to use this information for the development of rehabilitation strategies for people with movement disorders.
