Research Opportunities:
As a research assistant/an independent study student, you will be given the opportunity to work closely with people in our laboratory on one or more of our current reserarch projects. Your responsibilities may include： （１） collecting and managing data; (2) transcribing and coding; (3) doing library research; (4) designing studies; (5) maintaining lab equipment; (6) running experiments; (7) preparing stimuli and instruments for projects.
Becoming a PSYCO 299/496/498 students
Our research assistant positions are in general voluntary, and therefore, are not paid. Paid positions, however, may be available in the future. If you are interested in this position or require more information, please contact Dr. Masuda at tmasuda@ualberta.University of Alberta offers two types of course-based research opprunities. Students who take these courses work on one or two research projects with grauduate students. PSYCO 299 is designed for second-year students. They are assigned to work with us for three hours per week. At the end of the semester, they write a term paper. Their grade is based on the "Pass or Failure" format. PSYCO 496/498 are desgined for senior-level undergraduate students. They work with us for six-hours per week. At the end of the semester, they wriet a research proposal. The final grade consistes of the quality of their proposal, and their peformance at our lab.

Friday Lab Meeting
All students who join us are also required to attend a weekly research meeting (Usually Friday afternoon). During these meetings, we talk about theories and empirical research on cultural psychology.
