The International Center for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE) in Barcelona is organizing a Conference which will deal with development and application of numerical methods in the following areas:

simulation of social processes, historical perspectives and scientific technological developments, demography, psychometry, studies of public opinion, evaluation of outputs efficiency, evaluation of quantitative aspects, evaluation of environmental impact, evaluation of technological impact, numerical methods in economy and finance, numerical methods and ethics, planning of health services, planning of transportation, urban and regional development, management of intellectual capital, numerical methods and education.

The organizers invite participation of social scientists in the programme. Abstracts (maximum 300 words) shall be sent before March 15, 2000 to:
