This mid-term RC04 conference will be held on the occasion of the fourth meeting of Taiwan Forum on Sociology of Education organized by Taiwan Association for the Sociology of Education (TASE) and National Hua-lien Teachers College.

Under the broad theme Identity Politics, Multiculturalism, and Education, the conference features two sub-themes:

*The inter-relationship between identity formation and educational praxes in an era of multiculturalism.
*Cultural politics in sociology of education.

Papers that address either sub-theme, especially those highlighting identity politics and multiculturalism, are strongly encouraged to submit abstracts. However, the abstracts that will be considered are not limited to the sub-themes of this conference. Contributions for open sessions are also encouraged.
