ARISE is short for Alberta Research Information Services and was formerly known as REMO.

 

It is a UofA system that includes the registration of all work involving hazardous materials by location, personnel, equipment, etc. 

 

 

It allows the user to create a Primary Hazard Assessment for the space.   Once registered, your lab will be able to manage your lab through this system.  It will allow you to create lab signs, amend signs, update lab registration, and in future report incidents.   Once registered you should complete a Personal Protective Equipment Checklist by looking at the room hazards.  This must be signed by all lab staff members.  You should also mention any specific PPE exemptions or requirements on this.
