PPE:
(Personal Protective Equipment)
The Hazard Assessment that you created with ARISE or REMO gave you the
PPE required for the Laboratory Space.
The EHS Laboratory sign it generated sets the PPE you need to be wearing
when you walk into that space. If there
is no Hazard assessment on record, the requirement will be
the Basic PPE for UofA Labs.
-This form must be completed,
signed off by all Laboratory Occupants, and posted in the Laboratory. This shows that all occupants of the space
are aware of the requirements.
Respirators:
-Respirators are required to be
fit tested by EH&S BEFORE they are used.
-Any more than one day’s beard
growth disallows the use of Respirators.
