If you need to go to a Doctor
with an injury that happened at work, the Doctor will file a report with the
WCB.
That report will also be sent
to EH&S. Therefore if you have a
Doctor Treated injury you must file an incident report using the EH&S
Web Tool. Most likely, even for a
simple insignificant injury, they will contact you for more information. If you don’t report the incident, EH&S
staff will locate you through your Department and Supervisor.
They will also require you to
fill out a WCB
Incident Report. This is important
because this will be the official record of the injury in case there are
complications later.
