Dr. Nouri is an Associate Professor in the School of Mining and Petroleum Engineering, Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of Alberta. He conducts research in petroleum geomechanics related areas which include sand production, hydraulic fracturing, and caprock integrity assessment. Dr. Nouri did his Ph.D. at Dalhousie University in sand production control. He has 5 years of industrial experiences and has been the author of nearly 60 technical papers. He is a registered P.Eng. in Alberta.
