Call for Submissions
EXCAVATIO XXIX (SUMMER 2017)
Excavatio: International Review for Multidisciplinary Approaches and Comparative Studies Related to Émile Zola and Naturalism Around the World is the official publication of the Association internationale Zola et Naturalisme (AIZEN)
Twenty-three volumes are already in print and available in university libraries and other collections in North America, Asia, and Europe. They can also be purchased on our web site at the following address:
Excavatio has become web-based, featuring 10-15 articles in each volume. This scholarly-refereed free access journal is published semi-annually.
The sixth web-based volume, no. XXIX, will appear in June of 2017 and will feature scholarly articles on Émile Zola and Naturalism.
In order to submit a paper for consideration, you must be a current member of the AIZEN. Presenters at the joint AIZEN/University of New Orleans International Conference are also invited to submit a revised version of their paper, lengthened and documented according to our guidelines, with complete bibliographic information appearing in a first footnote and subsequent references in a shortened form.

All papers will be submitted to a peer-review and editorial process.
Submissions for Volume XXIX, with a length of 5,000 to 6,000 words in either English or French, should be sent as attachments in Microsoft Word, along with an abstract of 100-200 words, a short curriculum vitae, and brief biographical sketch to the Editor (firstname.lastname@example.org): by midnight on December 31, 2016.
