This web tool (http://tinyurl.com/na-sst) is meant to support the selection of well adapted tree species and seed sources for reforestation under observed and projeced climate change. This tool is a work in progress carried out under the auspices of the DIVERSE project. For a brief description of the methods underlying the web tool, see this 1-page PDF, followed by a list of know issues and plans for future work.
To start: Select a target ecosystem, either from the hirarchical drop-down menu above, or the by clicking on a circle marker on the map below (use your mouse and scroll-wheel to zoom and pan). Once you set an ecosystem as target, you can track observed and projected climate change, select appropriate tree species, and see how the area may look like in the future via the View links for climatically matching source ecosystems.
