To introduce principles of management applicable to the organization of library and information services. Required course.

Objectives:

Content:
This course will reflect three major facets of management and leadership as they affect the library/information organization: Methods:
Team work, lectures, guest speakers, assessment activities, presentations.

Course Relationships:
LIS 501, 502, 503 to be taken before or at the same time as LIS 504.

Assignments and Evaluation:
Performance as Team Member or Team Leader - 20%
Team Performance Assessment - 20%
Class Presentation - 30%
Final Examination - 30%
