System Action |
The checkstop count is initialized to 0 (zero) whenever the system is turned on. When a checkstop occurs, the checkstop count is increased and a system restart begins automatically. If the system restart is successful, the operating system records the checkstop in the system error log and resets the checkstop count to 0. If three consecutive checkstops occur without a system restart completing successfully, the system halts. |
