Description
A text-display field is a text field in which noneditable text can be
displayed and selected.>

When to Use
- Recommended
- Provide a text display field when you display a value or values that the
user cannot change, but that can accept the input focus to allow data transfer
operations.
Guidelines
- Required
- Allow the user to select the text in a text-display field.
- Required
- Allow the user to scroll the text in a text-display field when more
information is available than can be displayed at any one time.
- Recommended
- Outline a text-display field with a thin unbroken line of a solid color
specified by the operating environment.
