Abstract
MOL Report Ten (2021/2022) compiles 16 papers and presents research on mine planning and optimization, artificial intelligence and simulation in mining systems, implementation of in-pit crushing and conveying (IPCC), underground mine production scheduling, and related mining analytics. The volume highlights optimization, simulation, machine learning, and decision-support methods for mining operations.
The report includes work on long-term production planning, stockpiling, blend optimization, greenhouse gas considerations, IPCC integration, deep reinforcement learning, autonomous supervision, fleet management, loading practices, digital twins, blast-induced damage, and sublevel caving production scheduling. Together, the papers demonstrate MOL's continued emphasis on mine planning and design, simulation modeling of mining and industrial systems, and optimization.
