Campus Computing 2009 Registration
Registration is now closed for Campus Computing 2009 (CC2009). Although registration was FREE it was mandatory and you must wear an official nametag to get access to the refreshments provided by the sponsoring vendors; in addition there are draw prizes for those registered (draw prizes must be claimed by 11:00 AM or they will be redrawn for 12:30).
CC2009 will take place on April 28, 2009 from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm in ETLC
We currently have 3 simultaneous session streams with about 1/2 of the sessions research related and
1/2 technical related. The research sessions are geared towards explaining the exciting research happening at the
University using computers in innovative ways (lots of machines, lots of storage, special types of machines, helping to
bridge distance etc.). The technical sessions are geared towards innovative use of computing technology on campus which
helps system administration or teaching or administrative use of computers. Each session is scheduled for 45 minutes, the presentation is expected to last about 40 minutes including questions. The additional 5 minutes at the end each session is intended to help with room changes.

We are currently requesting help with finding topics/speakers for the sessions and hope you can help us out. If you
have any suggestions as to whom we might contact within your faculty or department as candidates for doing a talk at
CC2009 please email the information to cc-cabal@mailman.srv.ualberta.ca
or if you want to present a talk please submit your suggestion for a talk at CC2009 using this form
We encourage submissions from graduate students and post docs - we feel this event is a good place to get experience giving presentations.
