Boundaries and Compassion

18 Nov 2020

Boundaries and compassion. Boundaries without compassion. Compassion without boundaries. Maybe we are meant to build walls to protect our vulnerable human existence. If there is no security to the parts of our mind that love, care, and experience the emotions with others, there is a risk that we can be hurt, damaged, broken.

I believe there is a wide range of resiliency in human stamina and empathy. But just as there are those who astound us with Olympian strength, there are those with colossal abilities of compassion and benevolence. If challenge of physical strength should be admired, then so should emotional resilience be tested to the depths of human capacity and not forgotten.
